Dr. Cort Casey

Joined Cumberland University: 2012

My name is Dr. Cort Casey. Prior to moving into higher education, my background was in English and social studies education. I have taught at both the middle school and high school level in Mississippi, Georgia, and Tennessee with experience in both private and public school settings. I have also taught at the undergraduate and graduate level at five different universities. My undergraduate degree is from the University of Mississippi. I received my masters from the University of West Alabama and my doctorate from the University of Memphis. I currently reside in Germantown, TN and am a full-time assistant professor of education at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. My wife and I are the proud parents of three rambunctious kiddos. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, running, camping, hiking, and fly fishing.
