CRJ - 211 Introduction to Law Enforcement (3)

This course is designed to introduce students to the history, philosophy, and practices of American Law Enforcement, including the development and objectives of the American Police System with an emphasis on organization of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. This course will also survey career opportunities and qualifications required for entry-level positions.

 
CRJ - 215 Introduction to Private Security (3)

This course is designed to introduce students to the history, philosophy, and practices of Private Security, including the development and objectives of private security with an emphasis on risk management and enhancing security through both procedural and physical controls. 

 
CRJ - 329 Criminal Evidence (3)

This course is designed to familiarize students with the basic concepts of criminal evidence. Emphasis is placed on understanding the nature, functions, and limits of the law regarding evidence.

 
CRJ - 330 Crime Prevention (3)

This course is designed to familiarize students with the basic concepts of crime prevention. Emphasis is placed on understanding the history, nature, and application of crime prevention concepts.
