Ronald Reagan topic of Broussard lecture

Cumberland University will host Dr. James Broussard on April 18 at 6:30 p.m. as he discusses his book, Ronald Reagan: Champion of Conservative America. The talk will be followed by a short question-and-answer period.

Broussard is a professor of history and director of the Center for Political History at Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania. A graduate of Harvard University and Duke University, Broussard is the author of The Southern Federalists, 1800-1816. His current research focuses on the political history of Texas and political party development in the Early Republic. Broussard was also the founder of the Society for Historians of the Early Republic, a scholarly organization dedicated to the study of history between 1776 and 1861.
 

This event will be held in Vise Library and is open to the public. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and for signing.Reservations are not required, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early for optimal seating. This lecture was funded by a Bell Family Grant and is sponsored by Cumberland University’s Alpha Xi Tau chapter of the Phi Alpha Theta International History Honor Society and the Cumberland University History Society.
