Knights of Columbus Announce Award Recipient


The Knights of Columbus Council 9787 recently announced the 2014 recipient of the Chuck Brockman Memorial Scholarship at Cumberland University. The award was presented to Cumberland student Brandon Olin from Milton, Tennessee who is studying Business. The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic, fraternal organization. Begun in 1882, in New Haven, Connecticut by Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney, the Order now has over 1.85 million members and 15,000 councils. The Council and its members are well known for their charitable giving. The local council is affiliated with St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Lebanon and was formed in 1988.
