Phoenix Ball date set
Cumberland University will host the 2013 Phoenix Ball on Saturday, June 1 in the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center on campus. This wonderful spring gala is celebrating its 30th year and returns to the Floyd Recreation Center after the last few years in Cumberland’s historic Baird Chapel. Hundreds of guests are expected to attend to help fund the University’s mission of providing a high-quality, personalized college experience for all of its students.
Attendees will have an opportunity to mix and mingle with some of the region’s most accomplished community and business leaders as well as an impressive list of Cumberland alumni and local philanthropists.
The Phoenix Ball is a night where the community comes together to not only recognize, but inspire, greatness. Always full of surprises, the Ball features a cocktail reception, fine dining, live and silent auctions, and dancing to the fabulous Craig Duncan Orchestra. In addition, for the first time in a number of years, the Late Party returns giving a chance for all to dance the night away into the early hours of the morning.
Held two days prior to the Ball on Thursday, May 30, the always elegant Patrons’ Party will take place at the beautiful home of Dr. Scott and Mrs. Jean-Ellen Baker. A more casual affair, the Patrons’ Party provides an opportunity to mingle with friends old and new while savoring delicious bites in preparation for the Ball.
