The Phoenix Ball

The 29th Annual Phoenix Ball took place in the historic Baird Chapel of Memorial Hall on the campus of Cumberland University. The Ball is considered one of the premier fundraising and social occasions for the Wilson County community.

The event continues to grow and never fails to surprise attendees. The Ball features a reception, elegant dining, live and silent auctions, and dancing. The nearly 200 attendees include leaders from the Wilson County and Nashville business communities, dignitaries and alumni and friends of the University.
Special highlights of the silent auction include a beautiful white Walden Guitar autographed by Lady Antebellum and premium tickets for two to the upcoming Brothers of the Sun Tour at LP Field in Nashville featuring Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.  Live auction items include the ever-popular President’s Dinner and Phoenix Medallion as well as an incredible trip for four to Whistler, British Columbia.
Proceeds from the Ball benefit the Cumberland University Scholarship program by providing financial support to deserving need-based students attending Cumberland University.
Just two days prior to the Ball on May 31, Cumberland alumni Aaron and Mandy Pryor are hosting the Patrons’ Party at their beautiful home.  This poolside summer soiree should be a splash for all attending and this year will include a live band and a sunset photo booth for our guests.
