Few Tickets Remain for 'CU Day at the Preds'

Tickets for 'Cumberland University Day at the Nashville Predators' are in high demand, with more than 130 tickets sold thus far for the Saturday, March 22 match-up between the Nashville Predators and the Chicago Blackhawks at the Sommet Center.

At a cost of just $35, tickets to 'CU Day at the Preds' are a tremendous value and would make a perfect Easter gift for any hockey fan. In addition to admission for the 2 p.m. game, the tickets are also good for a 12 p.m. private, pre-game reception also scheduled to be held at the Sommet Center. The pre-game reception will include a full lunch buffet and a raffle -- with prizes to include Predators jerseys, apparel and autographed items provided by the Nashville Predators. Those who attend the private reception will enter the Sommet Center via the 501 Broadway entrance, located at the corner of Sixth Avenue and Broadway in downtown Nashville.

Cumberland University alumni, friends in the community, faculty, staff and students who attend 'CU Day at the Preds' will be seated together in Section 327, located in the third tier near center-ice.

Dr. Garvin S. Maffett, vice president for advancement at CU, said the entire university community is abuzz about the upcoming event and the opportunity to come together and show their support for Nashville's NHL club.

"We support the Predators and want to help ensure they remain in Nashville," Maffett said. "Our Cumberland University family is eager to attend a professional hockey game and to share the experience of cheering on the Predators to a victory over the Blackhawks."
