Fall Choral Concert Set for Oct. 13

The Cumberland University choirs will present their annual Fall Choral Concert on Monday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in Baird Chapel, according to Dr. Brian Kilian, professor of music at CU.

"The program this year will feature works by mostly modern composers," Kilian said of the popular yearly event. "It will include some gospel music, a palette of delightfully glorious sounds, and we'll be performing one of the funniest songs I've ever heard, 'If I Were to Choose Between You and a Third Helping of Mashed Potatoes.'"

In addition to the University Singers and the Cumberland Chorale, the evening's concert will include a performance by the internationally acclaimed quartet known as "Last Minute."

"Last Minute has earned national and international recognition, and they offer some of the best quartet music I have ever heard," Kilian said.

There is no charge for admission to the Fall Choral Concert, but reservations are highly recommended as seating is limited. To reserve seats, please call 615.547.1380.
