CU Choirs to Present Madrigal Dinner

A holiday tradition at Cumberland University, the Madrigal Dinner -- complete with a four-course meal and loads of entertainment -- will be held on Friday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in Baird Chapel.

Presented by the Cumberland Choirs, this year's madrigal dinner, "Jester, the Body Ventures Forth" or "This Would Have Been Funnier in 2000," will feature plenty of raucous humor, the University Band and Brass Choir and performances by the Cumberland Chorale, University Singers and the Phoenix Dancers. According to CU Professor of Music Dr. Brian Kilian, proceeds from the event will help fund the University's participation in a choir festival to be held in Italy in 2009.

Tickets are $25 per person in advance. For reservations, please call the Cumberland University Box Office at 615.547.1380.
