The contract has athletic apparel incentives for coaches who win conference championships, national titles and coach of the year awards.
"This is a great contract for Cumberland University and for our athletic department," Pavan said. "It really puts us on the national level with our apparel and should help us in many different aspects of our program. There are also some nice athletic apparel incentives for the coaches."
The process of converting all of the sports programs to adidas will begin now and continue throughout this academic year, though most teams are already using the world's second largest sports apparel company for uniforms and equipment.
"Cumberland University means a lot to me and is a big part of my family," SportsWorld owner Bobby Carr said. "I've been involved with the University for more than 20 years, and it's great to see things continue to grow."
