Faculty allocations
Faculty Allocations
All full-time faculty members will receive a $300 allocation to purchase materials for the library collection. These funds must be used for one-time purchases, such as books or audiovisual materials. These funds may not be used for periodicals such as journals or magazines or materials such as textbooks and study guides. Departments may combine funds for larger purchases.
When submitting requests, please include as much information as you can such as the author, title, and publication information, as well as the cost and ordering information. An ISBN number would also be helpful. Please email material requests to Rick Brown, rbrown@cumberland.edu, send via campus mail, or drop them off at the library. We will accept lists, catalogs, book reviews, and other articles. Selected items should be clearly marked and be sure to include your name so that the library can track your expenditures. If you would prefer to fill out order cards, please contact Eloise Hitchcock, ehitchcock@cumberland.edu. Materials take at least 3 weeks to be ordered, processed, and cataloged, so please plan accordingly. The deadline to submit material order requests is the last day of the fall semester. |
