The Juvenile Collection Housed in the Vise Library, this collection offers both a historical and current view of children's literature. CALDECOTT:Awarded yearly by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, this award goes to the artist of the most discussed American picture book from the previous year. Named for nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott, the collection arranges winning books chronologically by award year.
NEWBERY:Named for eighteenth-century bookseller John Newbery, this award recognizes works of juvenile fiction. The Association for Library Services also makes this annual award. These winners are also housed by the year of their award.
HONOR BOOKS:Both the Caldecott and Newbery committees select honor books. As funds permit, these titles are added to the collection.

EASY- More pictures than words per page.
JUVENILE FICTION- Chapter books with more text and occasional picture.
JUVENILE NON-FICTION- Content that provides information at a low reading level.
READERS- Few words on a page with repetition for learning.
