iRead
Vise Library oversees a campus reading program known as
iRead, designed to affirm the importance of reading and to
create a common reading experience for the Cumberland
University community. We hope to encourage interaction
among students and faculty and to promote critical thinking
by facilitating reading and discussion of important books.

The iRead selection for the 2012-13 academic year is Our Patchwork Nation by Dante Chinni and James Gimpel.
The book is described as a "provocative counterargument to the blue/red divide that illuminates our country's multidimensional political spectrum."
