Troops to Teachers ProgramTroops to Teachers is a federal program which allows eligible military personnel with a bachelor's degree to earn a teaching degree online and at the graduate level. In Tennessee, recipients of this aid receive up to $10,000 to offset the costs of becoming certified to teach, if they agree to teach for three years in a "high-need" Tennessee school district. This is the perfect fit for those changing careers who want to continue to serve their nation and community by entering the field of education. Licensure through The Troops to Teachers Program is a transitional licensure program which requires passing Praxis II exams.
