Dr. Landis earned his doctoral degree in Management from the University of Phoenix.  He earned his BA and MA in Communications at University of Alabama. While at Cumberland he has served as President of the Faculty Senate and was awarded the Teacher of the Year in 1998.
 
He has owned and operated several businesses, including a talent agency. He managed businesses as diverse as software education, a technology college and a restaurant.
 

Dr. Landis is an accomplished musician and performer.
