Name: William Lambert
Education: B.S. Professional Studies, Information Technology from Tennessee Tech
A.S. General Studies - Volunteer State Community College
I started my first computer job in the 7th grade at Southside Elementary School in Lebanon. Coach Presley caught me playing around in DOS during computer time one day and assigned me to a group of students responsible for installing a piece of software from a floppy disk on computers around campus. When I was twelve, my dad and I both learned the importance of good backup practices when I did a format/reinstall of our home computer and erased work he accumulated while writing his thesis.
After graduating high school my professional IT career began at Dell Computer Corporation. Several years and a few company changes later, I finished a course of study and received my baccalaureate degree from Tennessee Tech.
My current responsibilities at CU primarily involve network engineering and data center management. I'm a bit taller and the work is more critical, but I still install software and make sure we have good backups.
