Sheridan earned his B.A. in English with an Emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Tennessee and his M.S. from Cumberland University. He is the Staff Advisor for Gamma Beta Phi, and alumnus of Kappa Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, Alpha Chi, Pi Gamma Mu, and a Tennessee York and Scottish Rite Mason and Shriner. He is also an honorably discharged Sergeant and Combat Engineer, U.S. Marine Corps Reserves.
