Mekisha joined the Cumberland University Admissions staff in February of 2011. She is a native of Wilson County. After being a police dispatcher for nearly 10 years, then a paralegal for 4, she hopes to become a vital part of the CU family and eventually finish her degree.

She is married to Gary Chansler. They have two very active boys, one dog, and a cat.
