Education: B.S. Mass Communications, Southern Ilinois University at Edwardsville.
Originally from Illinois, Cheryl graduated from Southern Illinois University with a bachelor degree in Mass Communications.  She worked in the radio industry for five years before her move into non-profit development where she has been for more than ten years in the middle Tennessee region.  Before coming to Cumberland in August of 2008, she worked for the March of Dimes Foundation.  In her current role at Cumberland her responsibilities include identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding corporate and foundation prospects for the University.

She volunteers at her church, Faith Lutheran in Lebanon, sits on the City of Lebanon Beautification Commission, and is a member of the Cedar Creek Community Band of Wilson County.  She resides in Lebanon where she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her two dogs.
