BIOGRAPHY:

You might say I was  byproduct of World War 2. That's right, I am a Baby Boomer. I have witnessed many things in my life and hope to share some of my experiences with all of you when they are covered in American History 2.The 1960's were a very exciting time for all Americans and I have witnessed many changes (Mostly for the better) in my lifetime.

I attended Florida State University from 1969-71 for a B. A. in American Government and History. In the Fall of 71 I returned and completed my Masters in International Affairs with 12 graduate hours in Higher Education. I was certified to teach college courses in a variety of field in the early 1970's.

My work career included 7 years as a Logistics Specialist and a Contracting Officer in Research and Development for the Air Force Systems Command at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. In the evenings I occasionally taught at Troy State University (Presently Troy University) at Hurlburt Air Force base Florida as an Adjunct teaching American History, International Relations, and American Government. In 1980 I purchased my own business and and operated it until 1987 when I sold it.

In 1988 I began teaching again as an Adjunct at Okaloosa-Walton Community College (Presently Northwest Florida State College) and taught American Government and American History. I taught American Government, American History, and Western Civilization there from 1988 to 2015 when I relocated to the Nashville area. I served on the Board of Directors for Liza Jackson Preparatory School (Charter School K-8th grade) from 2008-2015. I am presently teaching as an Adjunct at Volunteer State Community College, Nashville State Community College, and Motlow State community College.

Teaching is my passion and I hope to impart a bit of that passion to my students at Cumberland University.
