Online Master of Arts in Education: Learn, Teach, and Inspire

As an educator, you have the power to inspire — inspire students’ desire to learn, and inspire other educators to be their best. A way to manifest that power is to earn an M.A.E. degree from Cumberland University. Our education program has received the highest marks from the state of Tennessee for excellence in teacher preparation programs.

Cumberland’s online master’s in education is designed for both licensed teachers looking to move into administration and educators seeking to develop advanced skills. Our flexible online program taught by expert faculty combines the latest in instructional technology with theory and fieldwork for a well-rounded degree.

With Cumberland University’s online M.A.E. program, which is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), you can:

  • Earn your M.A.E.. in as little as 12 months
  • Learn at your own pace — there are no required login times
  • Network with educators and administrators from different schools — they are your classmates
  • Learn advanced skills through practical, targeted instruction that can be applied immediately on the job

The only difference with an online degree program is how you learn, not what you learn. You will earn the same, accredited M.A.E. employers want, but study when and where you want. In a nutshell, the program:

  • Augments and expands your teaching skill set
  • Helps you discover innovative dimensions of learning
  • Enhances your professional performance in the classroom
  • Explores tools to improve student outcomes
