Residence Halls: Justin Potter Hall

This residence hall is for male residents of any age category. Justin Potter is a traditional-style residence hall with one bathroom on each hallway. There is a main entrance that opens up to a common lobby for the entire building. The lobby is equipped with a couch, a television and a table and chairs for studying, eating, games, etc. This residence hall is located directly east of Phillips Dining Hall.
 

Justin Potter Hall: Residence Life Staff

Justin Potter Hall has a Resident Director who is responsible for the overall operation of the residence hall. He lives in the apartment attached to the residence hall and is accessible at all times of the day whether by e-mail, phone or knocking on his door. To help support him, there is also one Resident Advisor living on each hallway for a total of four Resident Advisors. This staff is intended to be a resource for residents with any concerns including maintenance requests, roommate conflicts, personal issues, academic support, health and safety concerns, etc. Please take advantage of this support available to you through the Residence Life staff in your building.
 
Justin Potter Residence Life Team

Resident Director - David Kimathi
David is the Resident Director of Justin Potter and has been a member of the Residence Life Team at CU for four years. He is originally from Kenya and earned his bachelors degree in psychology from Cumberland in May 2007. David will graduate with a masters in business administration with an emphasis in educational leadership this May. In his free time, he enjoys running, keeping up with the news, attending sporting events and traveling.

Jake Hooker
Jake is a senior at Cumberland from Hazel Green, Alabama. He is studying business management and plans to graduate with a degree in December. This will be his second year as a member of the Residence Life Team. Jake is a member of Phi Beta Lambda and is also a student assistant coach for the men's and women's soccer teams. In his free time, Jake enjoys albino bird watching, extreme gaming, tennis ball golf, corn hole and water polo.

Ben Briscoe
Ben is a junior at CU from Arab, Alabama. This is Ben's second year as a part of the Residence Life Team. Ben is majoring in math and english and is involved in many organizations on campus, including choir, theater, the Abelian Group and the Residence Hall Association. He has recently started the campaign for aluminum recycling on campus. Ben loves root beer and glow-in-the-dark easy cheese.

Alejandro Padilla
Alejandro, better known as Alex, is a sophomore at CU from Guatemala City, Guatemala. This is Alex's first year as part of the Residence Life Team. He is majoring in business administration and plans to graduate with a bachelors degree. Alex is a member of the CU Cycling Team and really enjoys beach volleyball behind Justin Potter, riding his bike and learning the English language.
