The Campus Environment & Safety section of the Cumberland University website has been established to provide information to students, faculty, staff, parents and the community regarding policies and procedures for campus emergencies. Although the website cannot cover every conceivable emergency that might occur, it does provide basic guidelines and contact information for most campus emergencies. Without question, the most important thing to remember when addressing any emergency or crisis situation on campus is that your safety is paramount. The safety of each student, staff member and faculty member is the top priority in all emergency situations.

 

In the event of a minor emergency:

1. Contact Campus Security (If on campus, dial 2222. If calling from a cell phone, dial 615-476-3061).
2. Call the Vice President of Administration at 615-547-1255.

In the event of a major or life-threatening emergency:

1. Dial 911.
2. Notify Campus Security at the earliest opportunity. (If on campus, dial 2222. If calling from a cell phone, dial 615-476-3061).
