Campus Life - Cinema Club

Formed in the fall of 2006 with more than a dozen charter members, the Cumberland University Cinema Club is off to a great start.

The group plans to attend three movies each semester in Nashville that typically do not get wide distribution.  One Nashville visit each semester will include a dinner at the home of Dr. John P. Markert, the club’s sponsor and Cumberland University Associate Professor of Sociology.  These events are restricted to club members.

In addition to these big screen events, the club will select a theme each semester and three to four films associated with the theme will be shown on campus.  Announcements will be posted around campus, and any member of the Cumberland family is welcome to attend.  A round-table discussion will follow all films screened.
