Bulldogs
The Bulldogs squad cheers for home and away football games and basketball except when competition practice is scheduled. The Lady Bulldogs squad cheers for home football games and women's basketball.
While the Maroon squad will compete, members from both squads are eligible and are considered when selecting a squad to represent the University in cheerleading competition.
When selecting the Bulldogs squad we are looking for individuals who demonstrate proper technical skills, ability to communicate, excellent athletic ability, and noteworthy cheerleading experience and poise. Generally, these are individuals who will be ready and prepared to contribute to the program immediately.
Lady Bulldogs
When selecting the Lady Bulldogs squad we are looking for individuals who demonstrate proper technical skills, ability to communicate, poise, athletic ability, and potential to contribute to the Bulldogs squad, probably in the future. These individuals may not be the most experienced at this time, but show the most potential to contribute to the program in the future.
Any member may be subject to move between squads for competition purposes at the coaches' discretion. Lady Bulldogs squad members showing superior athletic ability may be moved to the Bulldogs squad for competitions. Bulldogs squad members who do not perform to competitive standards may be moved to the Lady Bulldogs squad.
