Chris Brennaman is in his first year as the graduate assistant for the Cumberland Sports Information Department.

 

Brennaman serves as the primary contact for the men’s basketball, wrestling, volleyball and softball teams and assists in game-day operations with football, women’s basketball and baseball.

 

The Kansas City, Mo., native was previously employed as the Assistant Sports Editor at the Meridian Star in Meridian, Miss. At the daily newspaper, he covered various high school and junior college sports.

 

Prior to working at the newspaper, Brennaman was a news reporter for WTOK-TV in Meridian, Miss. He earned first place in the Best Feature Photography category by the Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters’ Association.

 

Brennaman earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in English from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2003. He is currently working toward a Master of Business Administration at Cumberland.

 

Brennaman is a member of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
