With more than a decade's experience in fundraising and development, Jonathon L. Hawkins is charged with leading the activities of the Office of Advancement and its primary components -- development and campaign operations, annual and major giving, alumni affairs, communications and stewardship. Hawkins also directs efforts and designs highly targeted initiatives that connect individuals and organizations with the university and their philanthropic experience.
A native of Smithville, Tenn., Jonathon holds a bachelors degree in Communication and a master's degree in higher education administration from Middle Tennessee State University. He currently lives in Murfreesboro with his wife and daughter.

Since May 2010, Meredith has been responsible for the overall leadership and direction of the University’s alumni program and for executive support of the Alumni Association. She also plans and conducts all alumni related activities and programs and coordinate communication efforts to alumni. Meredith joined Cumberland in spring 2008 as an Admissions Representative working with prospective students and parents from all across the nation.

Rebekah joined Cumberland in May 2010 and is responsible for implementing strategic plans for direct mail, telemarketing and special initiatives for annual gift fundraising to benefit the University while serving as a member of an integrated Advancement team. She plans and administers an overall giving program that includes cultivation, solicitation and stewardship with increases expected in both the number of donors and in annual gift totals.
Camille joined the Office of Advancement in August 2008 as the development officer for major gifts. In her role, she spends her time identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual major gifts for the university. Camille serves as the Advancement liaison for Friends of Music & the Arts. She also maintains her Series 7 and Insurance Licenses to assist with Planned Gifts as needed.
Cheryl Bockstruck
Development Officer, Corporate & Foundation Relations
As the development officer for corporate and foundation relations, Cheryl's primary responsibility is identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding all corporate and foundation prospects for the university. Cheryl, who joined Cumberland in August 2008, also assists in developing sponsorship opportunities with the community.
