Cumberland University is offering a unique graduate degree that has a foundation of pedagogy in Sports and Physical Education. 

Graduates of this program will have unique and marketable knowledge and skills to further careers in physical education, coaching, sport management and exercise science.  The 39-hour program, composed of a core curriculum of 27 hours + a specialization between 12-18 hours* can be completed in less than two years.

Students have the option of choosing between the following three specializations:

        I.            Physical Education (advanced pedagogy or initial licensure)*,

      II.            Sport Management, or

    III.            Strength & Human Performance.

(*Note: This program is intended to provide students the option of pursuing teacher certification regardless of undergraduate degree area.  Students pursuing initial licensure are required to take 6 credit hours of research and 18 credit hours in the physical education specialization.)

Tuition and Fees

Tuition:                                               $445.00 per semester hour

Application Fee (non-refundable):      $50.00 (one time fee)

Graduation Fee:                                  $225.00 (subject to change; due semester of graduation)

Textbook and Supplies:                      Will Vary by course, however ALL students are required to purchase SPSS

Transcript Fees:                                   $5.00 for each transcript request
