‚ÄčA New Era for Cumberland University

Cumberland University’s growth in the past two years has been tremendous, increasing nearly 50% in the last two years.

  • Just two years ago, CU had 1,550 students. Today, there are 2,315 students on campus.
  • Our education program was one of only three to be given the highest rating in the state of Tennessee
  • 28% of CU students are involved in athletics.
  • 300 CU student-athletes earned honors during a typical academic year.
  • Dr. Paul Stumb was inaugurated the 26th President of Cumberland University on April 29, 2016.
  • 2000 community service hours are performed by CU student-athletes during a typical academic year.
  • CU Athletics has won a combined total of 63 championships.
  • Baseball has won three NAIA World Series National Championships (2004, 2010, and 2014).

For our athletic facilities to be top-notch, $500k in enhancements and additions to several facilities are needed. Specifically:

 

 

3,000 new chair-back arena seats for the Dallas Floyd Recreation Center - $300k

340 new chair-back stadium seats for the Woody Hunt Baseball Stadium - $100k

How can I make an investment?

Three ways to invest:
#1 Write a check that goes directly into the $500K Athletic Investment Campaign

#2 Purchase a chair-back seat in the venue of your choice for $150 in the:

  • Woody Hunt Baseball Stadium
  • Softball Stadium
  • Dallas Floyd Recreation Center where men's and women's basketball, men's and women's volleyball, and wrestling matches take place

For each chair purchased, you will receive a season pass to all 26 Cumberland sporting events for the 2018-19 season.
